Family Fall Festival Campaign

Created an integrated promotion plan across newsletters and social media to maximize visibility for a high-impact student ministry event.

Year :

2025

Industry :

Non-Profit

Client :

Floris UMC

Project Duration :

6 weeks

Challenge:

The Family Fall Festival is a cornerstone student ministry event, but its promotion had to contend with competing church communications, limited attention spans, and seasonal calendar congestion. Without careful planning, key audiences could miss the message or feel overwhelmed by overlapping announcements. The challenge was to create a promotion plan that elevated the event’s visibility while integrating smoothly into existing communication rhythms.

Strategy:

I developed an integrated campaign designed for maximum impact without overloading recipients:

  • Scheduled weekly social media posts timed to build anticipation and share engaging, visual content relevant to families and students.

  • Coordinated a feature in the Floris-wide newsletter to reach the broader church audience, ensuring the event felt church-wide while maintaining student ministry focus.

  • Strategically placed content in student ministry-specific newsletters to target the core audience.

  • Designed messaging to highlight fun, community, and family engagement, while providing clear registration and participation information.

Result:

  • Social posts reached 1,200+ combined views per week leading up to the event

  • Featured newsletter spotlight increased click-throughs by 50% over typical student ministry items

  • Balanced promotion timeline helped drive record student attendance, up 20% year-over-year

Campaign Summary :

An integrated, cross-channel approach ensured the Family Fall Festival stood out amid competing communications. Strategic scheduling and audience-targeted messaging increased awareness, boosted attendance, and created a coordinated promotion process that could be replicated for future events.
